College & Career Center

 
Welcome to the College and Career Center at Baldwin Park High School!  In collaboration with our Counseling Department, the College and Career Center offers support with a variety of post-secondary and career opportunities for students. The College and Career Center is located inside the Library and is open Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.  Students can stop by before school, brunch, lunch, after-school, or during Tribe Time (with teacher's permission).

WORK PERMITS
Please call 626-960-5431 to request a work permit. 
Students who are in school and are being hired for a job MUST obtain a work permit.  You may apply for a work permit once you have been offered a job. Work Permit Applications are available in the College & Career Center and in the Counseling Office.  
 
Student MUST have a job prior to applying for a work permit.
 
Carefully and neatly complete the application.
  • All items MUST be filled in by you and your employer.  DO NOT leave any blank spaces.  
  • Be sure your employer lists the name of the Workers Compensation Insurance Carrier and your starting wage.
  • Have your parent or guardian sign and date the application.
  • Bring in your Social Security Card (copies not accepted) along with your completed application to the College & Career Center. 
 
If all steps are completed and paperwork is completed your Work Permit will be ready in 2 days. 
 
IF YOU ARE IN SCHOOL, UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE, AND HAVE A JOB YOU MUST HAVE A WORK PERMIT!!
