The Braves Legacy

For more than 70 years, Baldwin Park High School has proudly been the “Braves.” The “Braves” name represents generations of students, alumni, staff and families whose pride, traditions and shared experiences have shaped our school community.

 

In June 2026, Baldwin Park High School established an official partnership with the Pala Band of Mission Indians, allowing the school to continue using the Braves name in accordance with California Assembly Bill 3074. The partnership was made possible following the Pala Tribe's official letter of consent, received within the timeline established by state law.

 

While preserving the “Braves” name is an important milestone, this partnership represents something even greater. Together with the Pala Band of Mission Indians, we are committed to fostering education, cultural understanding, and respectful representation through ongoing collaboration.

 

As we move forward together, we are honored to build on that legacy through a partnership rooted in respect, learning, and mutual understanding.
