Families, friends, staff, district leaders, and community members gathered to honor the graduating class as students crossed the stage and marked the culmination of their high school journey.
Hosted by Principal Deborah Madrigal, the ceremony highlighted the accomplishments of a graduating class that distinguished itself through academic excellence, leadership, athletics, service, and perseverance.
Madrigal shared that she was inspired by the Class of 2026, noting that among its graduates were a Gates Scholar, championship athletes, student leaders, award recipients, and students who made a lasting impact on campus and throughout the community.
"While we celebrate your academic achievements today, what stands out most is the way you supported one another throughout your journey," Madrigal said. "You have shown what it means to lift each other up, lead with compassion, and move forward with courage and determination."
Members of the Baldwin Park Unified School District Board of Education joined in recognizing the graduates, with Board President Norma Olmos formally accepting the Class of 2026 on behalf of the Board.
The ceremony also recognized the school's highest-achieving students. Valedictorian Anais Sofia Arizmendi Markes graduated with a 4.662 grade point average. The Class of 2026 also included two salutatorians: Kelie Huang, who earned a 4.53 grade point average, and Asaid Jose Depaz, who graduated with a 4.52 grade point average.
Associated Student Body President Isabella Lara addressed her classmates, reflecting on the memories, friendships, challenges, and accomplishments that shaped the Baldwin Park High School experience.
The celebration concluded with a spectacular display of confetti cannons and fireworks, lighting up the night sky as graduates celebrated one final moment together as the Baldwin Park High School Class of 2026.
