The Senior Project at Baldwin Park High School

.gif) The Senior Project acts as a demonstration of life and work skills. Each graduating senior will write a research paper and present a final speech before a panel of judges. By completing these tasks, the student will demonstrate a mastery of skills in reading, writing, and speaking.
Each senior must successfully complete all phases of the Senior Project to graduate.
Major Components/Requirements
Research Paper
A 6 – 10 page paper using the MLA format, which includes primary and secondary sources.
Mini – Portfolio
A collection of all forms, including the research paper, which are part of the Senior Project.
Board Presentation
A final presentation to a board following the guidelines. This is a formal 5 – 7 minute oral presentation, which includes a PowerPoint presentation.
